Re: Scatter Brain
I quickly knocked out another Act of my story. Unfortunately I seem to be stuck in a kind of "episodic" style writing only. I think I may have been a little too influenced by KS writing break down. Also fun fact: While I had thought Tiffany Lidell was a completely original name of my creation, I fou...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
No need to feel left out, as an ADHD-PI, I'm not exactly unique here either. And look at it this way, by being "normal" you're something we can compare ourselves against. Which leads us to this philosophical question of, what is "normal". For me, I am one of the users that hasn't been diagnosed wit...

I'm not diagnosed with anything, but I can't shake the feeling that I probably should be. Re: Scatter Brain
I really liked it. I'm interested to see where this goes. The only general criticism I have is that it feels unfinished. Like you cut out in the middle of a scene. It's obvious you plan to do more with this story, so it's not a big deal, but it's nice to finish up a chapter with a strong ending. I'...

Scatter Brain
So before finding this place exists, but after hearing about this game, I was inspired to return to writing after a long, long hiatus, to write a character for MS. To my dismay I found all the positions were closed. But there was a glimmer of hope as I had read around and found that the Devs encoura...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
So tl;dr, try to take all your meds properly, even if you don't think they're working. I'm sorry for not playing the game by the rules you named in the OP, but I can't say I agree 100% on this one. I never used medicine against my mental problems, and I got over practically all of them. Some of my ...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
Sorry I can't give you a better answer Dorigard. This is the truth however - you will have to see how this ADHD is giving you in your life and how to deal with with. In my personal experience, the short focus is always a problem but when something caught my attention, the euphoric high feeling that...

Re: Character Preview #4
Very interesting character bio.
I have been musing about writing a Fan Work for a few days, but upon reading about Ms. Koell here, it seems I've been beat to the point, as she is so very similar to the 'who' I was creating, that I don't have an original character anymore.

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
Hmm, so would you say it's better to live your whole life with diagnosed ADHD and have that knowledge to develop strong coping mechanisms yet also have that feeling of being different. Or would it be better to never know and live your life relatively normally, except with a chance of complete break...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
On the other end of the spectrum, people who may have ADHD but are never diagnosed, and so nothing is ever done about it, can live perfectly normal, happy lives without ever being aware. This is because normally ADHD people will develop a coping mechanism to deal with their poor focus. By adulthood...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
I don't want to insult you guys, but those two post strongly remind me of the people in my old school claming to be normal. Those poor folks were lying to themselves even harder than to anyone else. But if you guys never got any treatment or your ADHD never caused you any problems, then perhaps you...

Re: IRL Mental Disorders/Problems That YOU Have
When I was young I was diagnosed with ADD (or ADHD-PI as it's known now). Wow, I've been typing up different ways to begin this explication for half an hour now, and I just can't decide how to start this, so I guess I'll just go with coded bullet points: -My parents chose to take this information an...

Re: Introduce yourselves Fans!
Having just played through KS over the past 5 days, it appears that I will have to bear the full brunt of being a feelsfag. Not that I mind the title, it shouldn't be an offensive thing at all, seeing as after playing the game, I'm outreaching for more and finding this. It's much too late to be a su...

Re: Mental Disorders that Would Work in Mentaru Shoujo
As my first post to this community, I'll start by saying I love the concept behind MS, as much as I loved that behind KS, and I'm only too sad to be so late in the process to be anything but a supporter. That being said, I feel kind of bad that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder has been left ...
