I find the hating odd. I mean I can sort-of get the derivative work argument, but not truly. Sure, the core idea is clearly derivative. It started out as Mentaru Shoujo, after all. But how is that inherently a bad thing? You don't need to be innovative to be successful or superb, plus making a game ...
