Re: Where is everyone?

Point 1: We no longer use IRC for actual team development, so that means very few, if any of us are on the public channel either. Time zone discrepancies were causing IRC meetings to be unproductive and/or forcing our eastern European members to be up at 2:00 AM on weekdays. That wasn't acceptable, ...

Re: Mother's Day 2014

Good guesses on Listless and Be Green. Listless is in fact a rearrangement of Recollections, but it isn't the title theme. "December's Greetings" actually came after "Be Green". Right now, we have about 4 variations planned for that one, as it is indeed one of the generic themes, and we want it to c...

Re: Blog Post: Current State of Missing Stars

So I guess I'll ask the first question. Given that the team is in dire needs of an artists, how close is the project close to falling through? (I may be able to spread the word to some locals that I know, provided that the project is in critical condition, and their schedule allow) Honestly? Really...

New Background Artist Application

We are looking for background artists of all shapes and sizes. Unlike the artist application, you'll have a fair bit of latitude in deciding how you want to make the backgrounds. You can either do hand-drawn backgrounds, 3D renderings, or even filtered photos (although you need to make sure that you...

New Artist Recruitment

You may have seen our recent blog post looking for new artists. If that describes you, then you're in the right place! Unlike previous recruitment posts, we aren't looking for a new style to define the Missing Stars look. You need to be able to match this style: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2...

Re: Official SSG 08 Counter-Strike: GO Missing Stars Skin

This is the first skin I've made for a Source game, although I have done texturing before. However, the actual texture file for this thing is downright embarrassing. It works, but it isn't pretty. About the only thing in it that I would call "polished" in the skin is the alpha channel that defines d...

Based on our main menu screen comes the newest way to play CS:GO (if you actually like using the SSG 08). Give it a like or a favorite if you want to see it in the game for real.

Re: Blog Post: Discover The Missing Stars Soundtrack Pt. 2

I'll give ravenous credit; I like how he did the piano. However, it's worth noting that there are a lot of parts missing from the piano arrangement, and you'll pretty much have to guess what those parts are if you want to recreate the piece.

That's why I did it. I even conveniently split the left and right hand into two tracks so they show up as different colors. Hopefully it will help with learning the piece.

Yes they will be heard separately. In fact, we're not even really sure if this medley will make into the final product, but it sounds cool so we decided to arrange it.

Re: Blog Post: This Music Writing Thing is Hard

For all of you thinking that the song meshes really well together despite being different drafts, that's because the order I presented the drafts in follows the complexity of the music. As in, the final song has the same progression of the drafts, just with different instrumentation. This is the cur...

Re: Does Everyone Here Play Trombone???

You may be good, but I am average.

Think about it, every trombone is trying to play louder than everyone else. Not me. I fit in, always in tune. Waiting. Watching. At mezzo-forte.
