Missed this somehow. Male uniform looks very classy.

First theme sounds too... specific to be a school day theme. I'd think it's a theme for one of the more refined characters (Katja/Natalya?), or just atmospheric for special occasions.

It's bodypaint. Very realistic bodypaint.

He's pretty...too pretty...
Now I don't want to be that guy, but my initial reaction was not sure if trying to seduce me or if just tying to sell me a used car. He seems, oh how to put it, a little too perfect, too new,too...I don't know. Maybe a little bit of facial hair along the jaw line, or just weathered in general. I not saying he should have some obvious superficial difference(I think that's how I would put it) like a mask(Lena), or eye-patch(Katja), but something barely noticeable or easily overlooked like a distant look int he eyes(Isolda), timidity(Annaliese), or full figured(Jeanne). It's great he's pretty an all(isn't plain, or looks like he fell face first of the back of a gypsy wagon), but with out something to offset just a little bit so(at least for me) there won't be as big a disconnect.

The music was alright, it sounded like an old timely circus in eastern Europe with a really creepy clown hiding behind some crates staring at you, or an uncomfortable psychiatrist meeting.

I know you guys(and or gals maybe, possibly, most likely?) won't change something this important to the game just because one person doesn't like, has a differing opinion, but my opinion like many others is subject to change.
my only real contribution to this forum,Comedies&Tragedies, you should read it sometime(maybe).

Honestly, I've got to agree with Al. Erik just looks too damn perfect. He reminds me of every Shoujo-manga hero ever. Not in the drawing style, but in the way he's presented I guess. That's just my thoughts though.

Well, assuming we're going for the typical VN style, we won't be seeing much of him.

Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

(I'd comment on him looking a bit too perfect, but I'd be parroting what the two above me said)

I think Astartus managed to capture the atmosphere that the architecture, dress-code and other details unique to (the somewhat stereotypical picture of) private schools give rise to, especially with the first track. I can see what you mean with regards to the second track, but it seems to me that it's more saudade and generally sad. Seeing as the protagonist was diagnosed with mild schizophrenia, maybe the track will play during short bouts where hallucinations and delusions spring up or if he sees another character suffering from them.

Nope he isn't. That would be the past incarnation of our main character when he is still in concept stage.

every shoujo manga/bishoujo vn hero ever
You gotta admit, with main characters who are "typical," personality-wise, you end up with relatable characters who're versatile with a wide variety of plots.

However, we're not saying Erik will stay that way as the story progresses...

And when it comes to appearance, we decided that having a hero who's ridiculously gorgeous is more tolerable than one who is exceedingly plain or worse, a loser.

Yeah, that was what I meant. It is not known if that has changed or not, so it is not ruled out as Erik's disorder. My apologies for not making that clear.

Also, I've done some research and the instrument in song #2 sounds very much like a cimbalom.

Similar, but not quite there.

Erik Wilhelm, not Eric Wilfred. :)

No connection to the Wilhelm Scream, of course. Wilfred reminds me of the TV show Wilfred (the Australian version).

Everyone IRL is gay for Erik.

Everyone.

This.
For once in my life, I must admit that I couldn't have possibly put it better, and wholeheartedly second this post. Mark me up as questioning MY heterosexuality, for approximately 3 seconds.

WELL DONE, MS TEAM!!! YOU BRILLIANT BASTARDS!

Seriously, this has been WELL worth the wait. I'm glad that everything appears to be working smoothly, and you brilliant men and women (ok, I AM assuming there's women involved...not that I've seen any evidence of it, but then I can't tell gender from text very easily. :? ), and keep up the amazing work! I shall initiate donations IMMEDIATELY.

And now, back to my lurking hole.

Well, you're certainly not wrong; the dev team's population is 20% female (rest assured even we had trouble establishing this  ). We're a pretty quiet bunch here on the forums, but we do exist! :D

Excluding.
Because we all know myuto is actually a unicorn with shape shifting abilities and not a human at all.

How do we know he's a unicorn who shapeshifts, and not actually a shapeshifter who is sometimes a unicorn?

You're right! We'll have to detain him for further testing...
