Living on the East Coast, more specifically Eastern Pennsylvania, I am directly in the path of Hurricane Sandy.

Good news: No school.
Bad news: Probably no power.
Good news: I am using a laptop with a battery backup.
Bad news: Our modem requires power.

BLECH.

Discuss the hurricane to your pleasure.

In my case, if the power goes out, I'll probably sleep most of the time, and play something (usually music, and maybe some KS because Emi) on my laptop, recharging it via a car charger if necessary.

Surprisingly, my power's still up, though it's blinking something fierce. I'm expecting it to die suddenly.

Good thing I have an LED flashlight that recharges itself when you crank it. Infinite lights!

Though, while our power was blinking my family played Poker. As it turns out, me and my sis rock at it. :P

Well, that was a let down.

Lost power only for about 20 or so hours, and I slept through most of it. Though I did get out of school for 3 days! :D

I expected more, though, from the hurricane Sandy.

This is unfair. Especially considering we live across the street from a hospital (which has power via a backup generator).

It's not like those guys on life support have anywhere to go. They wouldn't mind waiting for a bit while you play some League of Legends.

I'm just saying that you'd think a block with a hospital on it would be one of if not the first to get power back.

We only got it back a few hours ago.
