It really is (imo) a fantastically hard habit to break in writing to keep in character when writing from their POV.
I keep finding a little too much of myself coming through in my wordz n' stuff. Which would be great, if I was writing a biography, or a diary.

Sometimes to find a little love and happiness we just have to loose a little of our mind and ourselves. The chase is the best part anyway.

I tend to do that, but with other characters. I'll finish one story, yet hints of the characters will seep into the main character for the next story. It's funny and annoying at the same time.turbulentDuvet wrote:It really is (imo) a fantastically hard habit to break in writing to keep in character when writing from their POV.

I find my writing style very frustrating. It's like everything i write has a huge stamp with my name on it.
I think i can work well with POV writing, but no one can truly eliminate their own thoughts and ideology when writing in POV format. I think i can be fairly aloof though.

Thanks for the update, Hamadyne! As always, you're a pleasure to read and thought provoking.
I'd comment here, but unfortunately, I have no writing career to speak of or any major written works, and can't speak on this idea.
