Collage of Naysay

For the past week and a half or so that I have spent traveling the barren wasteland that is the internet, I've gathered a decent handful of reactions to Mentaru Shoujo. I saved them as I went along, and I had enough to make a "collage" of sorts. It's not organized, but whatever. From various web sites. I guess you can say it's Version 1, because I'll keep gathering similar reactions, and as I get more and more, I'll make even bigger collages.

You'll note that on some of the posts in this collage, you can see part of usernames from wherever I got it. This was not to antagonize those people, but the date of their post was there, and the date is what I wanted. You know, so we can look back in the future. I could have blocked out their usernames, but it wasn't worth it. You can only see half of the names anyway, not enough to find out who they are.

tbh, the controversy and negative initial reception of ks was similar to this... with similar expressions of outrage and disgust

I'm pretty sure initial reaction to KS has been relatively similar. If this game ends up being as good, it would change with time.

Mentaru Shoujo: The latest LIBERAL OUTRAGE!

Having seen the dev forums, I can say that this is being done very tastefully. Honestly, I had originally thought that this idea would be impossible to carry out tastefully, but the devs have done a fantastic job at planning this out. I've been out of the loop for a little while but from what I know, the project has been planned out very well. I didn't see anything that would make the VN tasteless or insensitive.

I can understand those who say that this is ripping off Katawa Shoujo though. The underlying premise of MS was based on KS, and the name is even based off of KS. But that's where the similarities stop. Also, Mentaru shoujo is just a working title.

Quoted for truth - even the characters, visualization and everything were discussed and built from scratch. I am surprised we made it this far.
