Ask the Devs!
Re: Ask the Devs!
I've read many. The stories are fine, but the execution is bad (again, in my opinion). Or at least, I don't really enjoy the Eastern paradigm for slice-of-life, which is to give a day-by-day experience. For instance, if you cut out a good 40% or so of Clannad, you could still have a game with the same emotional impact, and less filler scenes that were rather unengaging. Even Symphonic Rain, which is my favorite visual novel, was guilty of having too much of the common route reused. It's my belief that if a replay has you holding control more than actually reading, then the novel is fundamentally flawed.

Re: Ask the Devs!
Currently false. You may have misunderstood, because the game "Work in Progrress" will be using a customs engine. Currently we plan to make some modifications to Ren'Py but not use a new engine overall.

Was there any order that the girls were created/conceptualized in? If so, who was first?

Re: Ask the Devs!
Hard to say, really. Many of the devs at the beginning of the project had characters in mind before they signed up. Lena, for example, was derived from a character I had for an unpublished work not related to MS.

Was the initial set-up hard? Getting everyone to collaborate and what not.
