Which Murakami books? I've read Sputnik Sweetheart and Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, and so far my favorite's the latter.

I could probably just send you a .pdf if you wanted, though I also prefer reading them in physical form. I know the Timberland Regional Library System has a copy or two of that circulating.

Yeah, I need to read them in physical form. It's the only way! I SHOULD just get em' from the library. I'll probably check next week when my study group is on holiday.

1Q84, Dance Dance Dance, and Kafka on the Shore.

Apparently trying to type one-handed doesn't work too well for me. How were those?

I tried opening an orange and typing with one hand before. RIP USB Keyboard.

I usually can't describe something without spoiling it because I get too excited, (sigh) yes I'm that person.
But I can say that I liked them all, mostly Dance Dance Dance. -I just deleted an entire paragraph because I did it again after typing "because"-

Edit: I reaaally want to read Wind Up Bird.

Sputnik was alright, if a little anticlimactic and a little unsatisfying ending-wise. Hardboiled Wonderland was a goddamned masterpiece, and the only problems with it whatsoever was the amount of pop-cultural references and how the plotting needed to be stretched to establish the proper mood.

Cody Weber may be an emotionally shallow, priggish bordeline piece of human-shaped sputum, but at least he's a pretty good musician. It's kinda like Kurt Cobain: a weak, dimwitted (he managed to misspell Buddha in his suicide note) emo kid who was also a damned good artist.

Wow, they were all pretty awesome. Though I've yet to listen to all of the songs (since I listened to one of each).

I got hardcore frisson from Scala & Kolacny.

I rediscovered 24 Effects in my old MP3 player.

It's a bunch of awesome remixes of Yume Nikki songs.

If the vocalist were replaced by James Maynard Keynen or Ian Curtis' ghost, this would probably become my favorite band ever. As it stands, they're pretty okay.

Goddamn do I love those lyrics.
"On the wall there's another earth
At my neck there's another knife
Another wrinkle in my skin
Another kick that I can't feel
I started out hating myself and when I'm through
I've gotta have something to hate, and I guess it's you
Man's gotta have something to hate, guess I'll do
And when I'm through with myself, I'll start on you"

Have some music from the stoner rock spectrum! I'm using the term in a very broad way.

Kamchatka
The Egocentrics
Nadja, perfect for the winter.
The Heavy Eyes
Witch Mountain

For the past several years, I've been getting music pretty much exclusively from Bob42jh. He makes mixtapes of cool finds of the jazzy/melodic hip hop variety and posts them for free. I believe he gets to know many of the artists he features, but this is unclear a bit. He doesn't upload much to his YouTube channel, but posts links on Facebook quite frequently.

Some samples:

Also, Blockhead is all kinds of awesome.
