"... I still haven't done so, though, or at least not to any degree that I would consider satisfactory and thus I have decided to take a short break from the job I've signed on to do and that is by all means expected of me to once again bother the lot of you with my pointless verbosity and meaningless rhetorical cyclicity. My desire to spew forth purple prose must, after all, be satisfied if I am to further postpone the inevitability of me one day snapping and going on a destructive rampage of poetic weather descriptions.

I should start by pointing out that much like anything else pertaining to the matter at hand the issue of the degree to which people are defined by their mental conditions is a dark abyss of political correctness the bottom of which the naked eye cannot see and the innocent mind cannot fathom..."

Gloom, can you please start writing every update from now on? Please?

I am simultaneously relived and disappointed that so far there has been not a single complaint over the fact that I chose to keep the quote as it is instead of replacing snakes with a certain elopomorph.

Why would we EVER complain about you, Gloom? You somehow make such a wall of very advanced English so...enjoyable.
I only hope I can be 20% of that one day, and if I ever became such, I'd call myself a writer.

I think that he means that he is surprised that nobody has said that "Snakes" in the title should be "Eels."

Gloom is a talented writer ad infinitum.

Indiana Jones agrees with the title.

In reference to the article itself, I agree that it sounds like it'll actually be a bit tougher to handle this aspect of the characters than it was for 4LS in Katawa Shoujo. Physical disabilities will likely affect personality in one way or another, but in a sense you can still divorce the personality from the disability. With psychological issues, it seems to me the two bleed over enough that it would be nearly impossible to do, especially in a work of fiction. Narrative requires a certain degree of stage-dressing and presentation which necessarily involves being a bit more blunt or having to draw in broader strokes, at least when introducing characters.

It seems to me that your job is more difficult than what 4LS faced, and I don't envy you having to tackle it, but I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you folks ultimately produce. I haven't read any of the threads that refer to characters or anything else specific about the story - I want to be surprised, just like I was with KS - but based on what you all have said about the process of working on this project and the things you've said were priorities to you, I have high hopes.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.

You see, your talent of expressing yourself through writing is not a talent (I say talent because that is talent) that many has, you are an extremely good writer, I take off my headset for you now as I write. Please continue the good work good ol' Gloomie ^_^
