I think that I, like LastMelody, have just learned something new today.

Also, I've fallen in love with stories like Saya no Uta, Angel Beats, and The White Chamber, so Mentaru Shoujo--with its emphasis on distortions of mind and perception--sounds like it would be right up my alley.

I'm going to read this for quite a common reason.

I loved Katawa Shoujo, and really wanted more of it. Therefore, a project done by fans that explores an entirely new world sounds amazing.
Katawa Shoujo inspired me to go out and read even more VNs. It was a really important game to me, putting me in a bit of a funk after finishing it, especially due to Rin's path.
Hopefully Mentaru Shoujo could inspire me the same way, eliciting many emotions just as Katawa Shoujo did.

I'm really excited for this game, guys. The art looks amazing and the characters so far are great.
Don't drop the project...like...ever.

On Another note, I interject, the Media does play it that basically any sort of Mental Illness turns you into a Psychopath, hence giving people the media's portrayals and believing everything, like the little sheep they are.

Incidentally enough, just how the media portrays every pedophile as a Child molester. Every CHild Molester is a Pedophile but not all Pedophiles are Child Molesters. Incidentally enough aprox. 4% of the world population has some sort of pedophilia and it is estimated at 4-5% of the world population is gay. Really the Media can portray anything they want into something and the mindless sheep that is a majority of the population with TVs will believe it (mainly talking to you, a good amount of Americans). But enough of my Radical Conspiracy Theory Ranting Aside, I've gone off-topic. In conclusions, the disorders you think do something, happen to a certain amount of people, they just get on the news more often.

Don't you start grouping us so quickly, my friend. Not ALL of us are mindless, sheep-ified drones slaved to the wills of Facebook and fast News services. Most of us are, but NOT ALL. (sorry...kinda patriotic...)

At any rate, I'm here on Mentaru Shoujo...because I loved KS. I loved my first VN. (Yes, KS) Loved it more than almost any other novel I've ever read. And I LOVE reading. Learning about different points of view, thoughts, people, and dreams. I've always known, intellectually, that disability or sickness does NOT change a person into something that is not human. I know it, believe it, and live it. But I've never really known such people in my life. MS seems like a damn good way of adding a new point of view to my life. MS looks like a damn good team and DAMN good story (for oh so many reasons, but I'll be a gentleman and not mention those here). I'm quickly starting to like VNs a lot, so another free one is ALWAYS good to have. Most of all, I'm just...fascinated. I've no idea how this'll turn out. However it happens, I'm overjoyed to see the people of the internet come together and make something like this. KS came, I think, from 4chan. I've never been there out of terror for the safety of my laptop. I know that Reddit and 4chan don't like each other, but that's not the point. Good people are EVERYWHERE on this wide world of Internetz, and I, for one, intend to be a part of this from the beginning. Or earlier parts at least. I can't wait to see what happens.

I'm hoping MS can pull off what KS did with making people realise there are people behind these disorders.

Here's a big reason for me, as well. While I've long acknowledged that people with disabilities are just that - people - I don't think I ever quite fully absorbed that truth into my heart until playing KS. I knew it was true but I hadn't yet quite felt it. I'm hoping MS will have a similar effect on me in regards to mental disorders.

Also, I'm looking forward to MS for the following reasons:

1) Need to fill the void left in my heart since finishing KS;

2) The artwork looks simply amazing; and

3) The fact that the MS devs were inspired by KS makes me believe that MS will be of a similar level of quality...if not (gasp) even better.

I'm reading this for 3 reasons.

1. Katawa Shoujo, obviously.

2. I heard there was free food here. (I have yet to find any, cheapskates)

The third (and main) reason is because over half of my family and friends (self included) have some sort of mental disability. 2 cases of Asperger's, 2 Bipolar people, one with severe ADHD, and one with Dissociative Schizophrenia.

I haven't answered yet, so I'll just tell that I have good hope in the project. The concept itself show great potential for great stories (I haven't said great sex-scenes, I'd rather not stick it in lena's mouth, just sayan). Not that I'm interested in H-scenes which I consider as a bonus more than anything else.
