From one Jew to another, Happy Rosh Ha'Shana, Gloom! Go party down in Israel! :D

Imperial, it's the Jewish religion's new year. The Jewish Calendar is a bit off from the more commonly accepted Gregorian calendar.

Google Translate: "Were the head and not the tail, ate to bursting, having fun, and may the next will be better, at least one previous"

I've got to say, I'm not convinced you're really from Israel. That doesn't even make sense.

Meet Google translate, the BEST translator for any language that does not use Romaji characters...

You actually got it perfectly right this time, except that you are talking in first person male rather than female (which, again, is not wrong grammatically, but in context you might want to change it). Just replace the word יהודי with יהודיה, the word זוכר with זוכרת and יכול with יכולה.
I've got to say, I'm not convinced you're really from Israel. That doesn't even make sense.
Google translate does kind of a poor job with Hebrew, especially when dealing with proverbs, expressions, and archaic language. היו לראש ולא לזנב (Which the program translated as "Were the head and not the tail" should rather probably be translated as "May you be as a head and not as a tail", a traditional Rosh Ha'Shana blessing. "אכלו עד להתפקע", which I see was translated as "ate to bursting", should rather be "May you eat to bursting", "having fun" as "May you have fun", and "may the next will be better, at least one previous" should be "May the next [year] be at least as good as this one".

As you can see, there's a pattern in this case to what Google Translate gets wrong (it considers all of the "May" expressions to be some sort of past tense wheres it is actually more like the opposite).

If I'd had to wager a guess, perhaps Google is trying to make the translation more English-sounding?

'twas but a joke. I'm pretty familiar with google translater's failures.
