Oddly, this is familiar to you, as if it were from an old dream, but you can't exactly remember.

As much as I would like to see this, I doubt it will pull through. I give hardy props to those souls who wish to make an MtG VN.

Re: If you would write your own VN...
Seems like it was a pretty positive review to me... Anyway, I've taken a break from playing it for a few months, but I still enjoy it; I've gotten three of the endings so far.gekiganwing wrote:The creators of Shira Oka did not use Ren'py. I'm not entirely sure what software they used... but it works on Windows and Mac. Also, while their game has narrative and some dialogue segments, since it has so much emphasis on simulation gameplay, I think they'd consider it to be a complex dating simulation. (Aside: for a discussion of the game which is not especially positive or negative, see its review on Inside AX.mysterycycle wrote:There is a VN/Ren'py game that does something like this, called Shira Oka: Second Chances.
I would totally play the heck out of that.Waytfm wrote:I've kinda been playing around with a a historical-setting VN. It would take place in an ancient country based off of Macedonia in 330 B.C. During that time, they had a system where the nobles would send their sons (and later on, daughters) to befriend the heir to the throne.
The MC would play the part of the heir to the throne, and have to make his friends and choose a wife etc. etc. I actually think a fictionalized account of Alexander the Great's life (up until the Battle of Granicus, where Alexander leads a Calvary charge and becomes a hero.), would work really nicely.
Alternatively, the MC could be the king, instead of the heir, and he'd have to pick the best wife out of his many.
Since making my post on this topic, I got together with a friend of mine and we hammered out a lot of details about my feudal nobleman VN idea. Even came up with a list of something like, I dunno, thirteen female love interests. Then we ran out of steam, partly because he and I had different ideas about what we wanted it to focus on, what we were getting out of it, and so on. (He didn't become obsessed with KS like I have; he hasn't finished playing through it and probably won't.

An OS-tan VN, anyone?
Oddly, this is familiar to you, as if it were from an old dream, but you can't exactly remember.

Oh yes! Microsoft already set us up with good characters too. Just look at W7~Hivemind wrote:An OS-tan VN, anyone?

I think writers would have a lot to work with, considering that, as far as I know, OS-tans don't have personalities, aside from ME-tan being ditzy.

Sadly, after a year or so of production, Microsoft would probably send a cease and desist. They do stuff like that.TheLastMelody wrote:The OS-tan would be awesome
