At 08:20 AM (Israel time), December 4th 2014, the man known as Gloom has achieved the improbable and been honorably discharged from his service to the IDF, having finished his term of duty. From this day forth, no more shall he have to suffer through late-night watches in the cold, remember never to misplace ammo, try to sit down with a rifle across his back, wear anything olive-green or stand being shouted at by officers (at least until he meets bosses and teachers who think they are ones).
Next stop: real life. Depressingly, I have a feeling I'm going to get even busier.
But at least no more olive-green.

Congratulations, gloom. Ironically, I have put on the army digital green and wtf colors of the US army at my first duty station in Korea at approximately 5:00pm December 17, Korea time. It's...bleh. I sit around now in a guard shack for eight hours. I trained for something else completely.
