Half a year for you huh? Well, I have been following you all from almost the beginning too. It is fun watching how you all are working, it always fun to chat with you at #MissingStars. I'll stick with you until the end, guys.

Eric Wilfred, huh? At last we get to know who's the main character for Missing Stars. He sounds as a kindhearted person, I can't wait to get to know more about him.

About the music... At first I was a bit sceptical about Astartus, but I had faith in him and he really did not let me down. I really liked the demos, especially the first one, it sounds amazing. I want a full track right nao! :D Whose track, you asked? Well, my guess is... Maybe Anna's? :>

So you managed to make me question my heterosexuality and released a VN music demo that I actually could listen to by its own, ignoring the memories associated with the game, in one blog post. I am very impressed indeed, Somnova Studios.

Also, I am guessing it is Katja's theme.

This was the general response among male devs when naso originally posted that picture.

Astartus is brilliant and the things he has planned for this VN make my head spin.

Pretty cool.

Second and third demo songs are neato. I really didn't like the sound of harpsichord in the first demo. That needs a change, pronto. It sounds very much 90s General MIDI sampler (which is not good in my book)... ^^' Just my 2c.

Erik Wilhelm, not Eric Wilfred. :)

No connection to the Wilhelm Scream, of course. Wilfred reminds me of the TV show Wilfred (the Australian version).

Harpsichord tune is made of win and nostalgia. Erik looks much more bookish than I expected him to be though.

So 6 months, huh? I wasn't really sure if I'd be able to stick around for that long, when I first showed up. It's been great though. I'm really looking forward to what happens in the next six months.

Damn I was going to say the same exact thing.

Concerning the music, the three sample give me a very good impression.

The first one give me the impression of being the school day theme.

I can't really tell what character is concerned but I think the third theme is related to a character.
(I would say it's related to one of the two french girls)

What is that instrument used for the second song used, by the way? I think I've heard a similar tone from an instrument played by street musicians, it is a small box with strings on that are hit with a small "hammer" much like a piano.

I love you guys.
Continue your work.

Edit:
Listened to the demo, was wondering if there's going to be sheet music for this? XD.
Anyway, I'm guessing the first song demo is the character theme, and it belongs to Isolda? Maaaybe.

I think Astartus mentioned that this is Sitar once. A Turkish musical instrument. Austria were exposed to such music due to their wars with Turkey and alliance with Hungary (of which they are Turkic people as well)

Ahhh! I've been waiting for sir Wilhelm to show up! He is both very much and very unlike what I'd imagined he would be. I'm quite pleased with this turn of events. Not at all homo for him, I'm afraid, even if he IS quite the darling young man (the benefit and curse of being completely secure in my orientation).

The music... hmmm. The first one (a 20 second sample, I think) is quite energetic. Perhaps a dancing theme, or music to somebody excitable? Second one (38 seconds, it seems) makes sense as either a relaxed or mysterious theme. Last one (28 seconds long) is very similar to the first, though with an undertone of unease. All good things, all very clearly "European" with a sort of Renaissance-y flavor. It is certainly not bad, not at all. Current favorite is Track 2.

Thanks for the update, devs, and as always: good luck!

Sitar is not turkish, but indian instrument.

And that doesn't sound much like a sitar in that second song to me. Sounds more like saz, which would be much more in line with your turkish comment.

THIS is how sitar sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTPxqUtlLdo

Notice the more gnarly, uneven sound with more harmonics.

I want Erik's coat! Different to what I'd Imagined, but you can't really define him in one blog post, much like the girlsi suppose.

As for the music, probably a long shot, but is the third one Annaliese's theme?

Sorry about the inaccuracy. I am just repeating what I have been told. Good spot though.

I'm sorry, Exbo, but Isolda's theme is right here.
