Your humble servant's finally managed, against all odds, to make it to staff sergeant, and in a show of the requisite maturity and personal discipline has decided to celebrate by bragging about it in the miscellanea section of a forum dedicated to the retard porn game he's been spending the last three years writing for.
Now it's just finding a way to spend my time doing as little work as possible for the four months I've got to go until I'm released... and then finding a life, that is.
As a Sailor I know how much it means to FINALLY! get one rung up the vertiginous ladder of rank, so bloody well done.
I am in the same boat (badum tsh!) as you sort of. Been a Leading hand (PO 2nd class/Corporal) for 3 years now out of 11 years service. The whole fleet seems to be changing, and I don't like it so I'm leaving in a couple of years to go to university
Just looking forward to being in charge of my life, having an actual end to the working day, and doing/wearing/eating what I want, when I want xD
Sometimes to find a little love and happiness we just have to loose a little of our mind and ourselves. The chase is the best part anyway.
