I usually play out little stories in my head. Where I make up my own little world an let the story play itself out. Its weird because half the thing I think of I don't feel like I came up with rather they just popped out of nowhere.
Ever tried that? Just a suggestion I feel helps me.
Just take a shower or go to bed or some thing where you have nothing else to do but think. That's when they happen.
