Music? :D?

I know it's probably MUCH too early in the creative process for this question to be asked, but I figured it may as well be asked so the voices in my head will shut up about it; will the music that will (eventually) be in the game be available for download?

Also, if we can avoid what happened with KS and have the sheet music actually written beforehand so those who really enjoy music can learn to play it, and don't have to transcribe/transpose to the instruments it was originally for/instruments they play, that would be very much appreciated.

Also also, being a musician myself (if you can really call percussionists "musicians"), I'd love to do anything I could to help with the project musically (duh), when the time comes. (Or anything else I may be able to help with.) Again, I know that time is very far off, and I'm not trying to weasle my way into any position, I just thought I'd offer, since I really enjoy what you're doing.

It's all up in the air right now and it depends heavily on what our music department has to say. You're welcome to bring this back up in a few months, we may have a better answer for you then.

I was curious as to what kind of musical atmosphere you guys were going for. It's probably much too early in the creative process to worry about at the moment, but I figured I'd throw that question out there, anyway. I share notop's sentiment in that I'm willing to contribute my humble vocal/guitar/piano skills, as would probably any other poster in this thread. Not that it would be needed, but just in case.

As an aside, I'm sure the rest of the forum would not complain in the slightest if, later down the line, one of the sneak-peaks ended up being a sample of the melodious auditory variety

Astartus has written a very nice harpsichord piece (that he's still fiddling with -- can you fiddle with a harpsichord piece?), we're looking for more topics for blog entries and releasing some music might work if the devs agree with that.

I for one would love to see that. It'd be neat to hear to music first. And then see how it changes over the course of time into the end result.

As I much as I'd love to hear some music from the game, I believe we are getting a tad ahead of ourselves. I doubt we're gonna get much out of the game in the near future apart from the weekly updates. Then again, what do I know. I am just a cat.

Ahhh, the harpsichord, it is pretty easy to mess with them, but to fine tune them.... not an easy thing to do, you can go wrong in so many ways but there are laso many ways to go right, ways you didn't even see(hear).

If it's up to me, yes. It probably isn't up to me though

Just been overloaded with work. February-March contains two of the busiest weeks of work for a culture journalist in my town, and I even managed to say yes to two extra assignments on top of that. My computer also melted

Also, if put on sheets, as-is, pretty please ^_^" When I asked Nicol for some from KS, it got "dumbed down", but that had more to do with a lack of knowledge of brass on their end, and not knowing my personal abilities with the instrument...

By the way, in case you're wondering, the exact instrument I play is the baritone ^_^

D-minor is a scale, the B-flat I mentioned is the instrument's pitch ">_> Relatively important detail, figured I'd point it out :3
