I wonder whether she's the type to get offended or hurt when people are a bit shocked by her mask...I suppose that would also depend on whether it's necessary or a fashion statement, and if she's become used to it. I'll admit I'd be kind of afraid of her if I didn't know anything about her and happened to see something like that on my first day of school at Saint Dymphna's. I'd try my best not to judge, but sometimes preconceptions are hard to avoid.

On a related note, I'm very interested in the character of the priest from the concept art, and I'm wondering how familiar he is with the students and their interests or how big of a role he plays. If he were aware of things like, for instance, Lena's taste in entertainment, would he approve? How much freedom are the students given, considering their mental health and well being should be a priority of the faculty?

No Silence in her favorite movies, but instead a bunch of b-movies about cannibalism. I find that an important and tantalizing character trait. I can't wait to see how she plays out... Image
I wonder why she's interested in Twilight. I find this all to be very indicative of her behaviour patterns, even more than what was said outright about how she acts.

The difference between Silence and Cannibal B-movies is that Hannibal Lector was just a Cannibal. I can't recall the Silence movies that well but atm the only cannibalistic part I remember was in Hannibal (2001) with the Brain guy, and that was just really silly. The mass media only plays to what the audience wants, and rarely pulls out something strange to be an exploitation film (one exception, Videodrome by Universal).
If you want someone who likes Cannibals, you won't go mass market movies, one will prefer to see Cannibal Holocaust or Cannibal Ferox more than Silence of the Lambs, which is more Psychological then gory.

But, the mask does look like Hannibal's Mask
Image

but a more metal version like in Violent Shit (and ofc, less silly)

As for Twilight....uh...my guess is.....she is a girl?. Horrible Answer but she could identify with the characters, Ie: the Shirtless Werewolf, and it is sort of a representation that she can even get love also? I would think we would also like An American Werewolf in London but would dislike the ending.

My guess is that twilight is on there just to make us rage. Nothing more and nothing less.

No way. It's not 2008 anymore. Does anyone still do something as passé as Twilight hatin'?

I don't know about Watyfm but for me, I haven't read the books nor watched the films, just heard the reception for it, read/watched the reviews, plus it is essentially a chick flick so I don't bother to watch it anyways. Why Bother with Vampires and Werewolves in teenage heat? Might as well just watch Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein. Has the Monster, Dracula, and the Wolfman (Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr, AND Vincent Price (albeit a Cameo voice).

But who knows, Waytfm could just be right and I am just over-examining the character. But usually with Character bios, someones you have to dig deep. Xp

.. With a bio like this, and a metal mask, I'm highly anticipating what Bacon has in store for us... :3

Honestly, I've gotten tired of hating it. I just let fans be fans (though out of love and consideration, I somehow got my cousin off of it. She dislikes all things Japanese, so all I had to say was that it was a generic, vapid shoujo manga in novel form.) Incidentally, due to merits completely unrelated to its quality of writing, my Epistemology teacher said that Twilight has a chance of going down the ages.

I was a wee bit sketchy after seeing the initial concept art (not due to style, just looked to western for a visual novel) but after seeing whats been brought up so far, I must say I'm getting more interested in this. I might even check in here regularly from now on.

As for Lena, I doubt she's a cannibal, as there's plenty of other things that would require that mask. Either way, the characters are looking good so far, and we're not even on to the side characters...or even the protagonist for that matter :D

I actually really like Imperial's style for characters. It looks old-school, as if Voltes V is stashed away in a cavernous hangar under the school.

Hello, new VN idea...

Here at Somnova, we take our outlandish facial restraints seriously. There was much discussion before the final design was implimented.

3. uhhhhh slightly ridiculous (Just make a whole Concept art with that one and put it in the extras section when her route is completed)
4. Violent Shit influenced

This was based on one of our onboard physicians' recommendations.
