How about Dark Ambient genre:
Kalaforn - Endless Voyage

..or just very astral ambient:
Symphonies of the Planets (@Youtube)
Yeah. Nothing beats listening to the background radiation. :-p

I would also link to Doctor Chainsaw - Dark Alley, then a Papercut, but that one is less astral, yet very much dark ambient. That, or his other track "In Ether Extremis" which is very much radio static. Too bad his profile in Mikseri.net no longer exists.

I have other oddball genres to present. Genres which I also occasionally listen to, mind you. One man's noise is another's music.

To clarify about Lolicore: most of that stuff is Breakcore or Speedcore type of "Hardcore" genre. Whether Lolicore is a genre of it's own, is questionable.

Komprex
genres: Speedcore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG8PeUXycOE (the actual beat starts at 0:50)

Passenger of Shit
genres: Noisecore (something even more messed up than Breakcore)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx99U5KcwNQ

Venetian Snares
genres: Noise, Glitch, etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZJ3KP2rVnM

Sunn O)))
genres: Dark Ambient, Drone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgaFqdjIMd8

Vzaeurvbtre
genres: Dark Ambient... with zombies and rusty violins
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QTolHieDUo

Archgoat
genre: Black Metal (Finland FTW!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmw4_u55kos

Al-Namrood
genred: Black Metal (anti-Islamic music from Saudi-Arabia)

I listened to about 20 seconds of the second song in the list. That's all I survived. I wish to hear no more.

I love it! Golden ears approved!

Wish it was a bit longer, though.

Essentially the soundtrack for Lilly's neutral ending.

Not necessarily obscure but something that in a perfect would be perfectly mainstream, taking the place of the shit that gets radio time today:

KMFDM
genre: Industrial rock, industrial metal, electro-industrial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scJMh2f0K2g (dem riffs, dem riffs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy6Y3jTWY90

Political commentary... mainly a big FUCK YOU to

Sabaton
genre: power metal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nqpSHGvhd8 (the Good)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhWapPfw0Ww (the Bad)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hd1QSARzSc (the Ugl... I mean, Neutral one.)

...and for last something very, very different.

Wombstretcha
genre: date rap(e)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... _ESI#t=224

I don't recommend the last one for musical quality... because A) rap is shit and B) they suck at it.
I only link it for the lyrics. Be offended.

I... I think this is obscure. Stendeck's "Scintilla" album. Got me into electronic music as a whole.

Ooh, Archive is great. Their album "Controlling Crowds," where that song comes from, is one of my favorites. Worth checking out if you've got the time; it really needs to be experienced as a whole
