Writers read this

Talk about whatever you want as long as it's (even vaguely) related to MS.

Writers read this

Post by Dogma »

This may or may not help you, but I advise that if you want to write better about characters you can use this and learn a little something no matter your skill level. I may write more of these if its received well. All knowledge comes from AP classes in high school collage and many many writing classes of the like.
If I’m not allowed to help you guys in a normal way, I guess I’ll just help in a way that won't risk any of the writers. I am a Psychology Major and I would like to give advice on keeping your characters in tact or your scenes from being full of fallacy. I will go over types of punishment that your character might of had early in life.
Operant conditioning is a type of punishment or reward system that you normally see, think the cheese at the end of the mouse cage. Too much reward can give people when done in access can give people a superiority complex or even a god complex, in which they will claim to be better than everyone. This can lead to the “jerks” of this world, you can use this as a major plot point push. Lets call this personality type “asshole” now the “asshole” will use a kind of the social Darwinism to overpower others and become an idol of a social scene. On the opposite you have the Operant conditioning of punishment, when done too much at an early age can lead to two personality types. The “Victim” and the “Troublemaker” Use one or the other, because they don't really mix well. The trouble maker will make their troubled history to bully pick and taste most people around them. As long to school troubles and higher chance of drug use. The “victim” on the other hand is likely to suffer from PTSD or Post traumatic stress disorder. It will stop their ability to go through most social circumstances like all other people around them. PTSD can also be from childhood situations of sexual abuse.
Sexual abuse is a topic much more common in character development due to sexual abuse is a lot more common than a lot of people might suspect it is. This can lead to three different options
The first option the “Virgin Mary” the “Sexual Deviant” and the “Nymphomaniac” The Virgin Mary has a fear of sexual contact, men and people in general. The Sexual Deviant while usually sticking to only one partner is a huge pervert these people tend to like being hurt or hurting others. Both way domination is common when this happens to a person. And the “Nymphomaniac” or the sex addict. This is the person who is more likely to have more sex than the others. These people thrive on the need and often have Freudian fetishism.
Traumatic happening and disabilities. Any single event of traumatic event that leads to anyone being disabled leads them to two types of reactions and abilities to talk about it. The first “The dark past” Is a type of personality in where they will not tell anyone not the closest to them personally what happened to them and why they have what they do and the other is the “Coping through over eager reaction” Some people with disabilities are too open to talk about it sometimes to save them time sometimes to get a negative or positive reaction from people, attention lovers usually do the latter. Some will use this crutch metaphorical or literal to make their life more easy than others people would be otherwise.
Using these simple things and fast about them just within the first post can lead people to write a more believable person with a more Trope based approach. I might tackle the rest and what it means in another post.

It might help you to know that much of the staff and following of this VN has issues of their own. While they do have medical advisors already, they have their own experiences to draw from.

Also, would you by chance say that you were rewarded a little above average as a child? :D

I had to fix your post simply to make it comprehensible. Added paragraphs and fixed some odd phrasings.

Only after doing so, however, I realised you made no real valid points. I was initially hoping that you would have some insights on the subject that mattered or were not common knowledge.

If you do make another post, the least you could do is ensure that you format it to be readable at a glance.
